Ken Mahar Photography
Ken was brought up in the bay area. He was in construction until he retired from the trades and always had a camera by his side taking photos of projects from start to finish on which he worked. It was important to him to record his accomplishments that he worked on so diligently.
The same stands today, but instead of buildings, Ken loves all aspects of photography. Capturing wildlife with his camera is probably what he enjoys doing most. He says that being outdoors, observing animals in their natural habitat, and capturing their behavior stirs his soul.
With all of Ken’s travels, he enjoys landscape photography, capturing images from all over the globe. He also considers abstract photography as one of his favorite subjects. He sees components of a building, a flower, or whatever it may be and can visualize that small element blown up to fill a frame.
Ken has been showing his work through invitational and juried galleries from the Bay area to the Sierra foothills for many years.
